Samsung's March 2026 Update Reaches Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Flip 6

Samsung has started rolling out the March 2026 security update to its Galaxy phones. It started with the Galaxy S25 series and then went to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Now, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are receiving the March 2026 update as well. Like always, this improves the security of the phones rather than adding new features or improvements.

As usual, the March 2026 update for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 is rolling out first in the home country, South Korea. But it shouldn’t be long before it expands to other global regions. The update to the former reportedly carries the firmware version F956NKSS3CZC1, while the latter carries the firmware version F741NKSS3CZC1.

You can check for the update from Settings > Software update > Download and install. The March 2026 security patch fixes 65 security issues that were present in the previous build of the OS. This makes the foldables more secure than they were before.

One UI 8.5 beta may be around the corner

While this focuses only on security, the next major OS upgrade, One UI 8.5, will be coming to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 in the coming days. This will bring new features and improvements over One UI 8, especially with more customization options, a new design to core apps, Storage Share, Galaxy AI improvements, a new Bixby, and a whole lot more.

In fact, the firmware files for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 with One UI 8.5 were reportedly spotted on Samsung’s servers. This suggests that the company might open the One UI 8.5 beta program for the devices soon. There’s no clear timeline yet. Currently, the beta program is only live for the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Flip 7.
