Samsung begins testing the next big One UI update for your Galaxy

Samsung is usually among the first Android OEMs to update its devices to the latest Android version. For this, it begins testing new One UI builds months before the public release of a new Android update. The Galaxy S26 series ships with One UI 8.5, which Samsung started beta testing in December 2025. While One UI 8.5 is yet to expand to other Galaxy flagships, it has already begun internally testing Android 17-based One UI 9.
