First Look: The OnePlus Nord 6 Leak Reveals a Major Camera Overhaul
OnePlus is all set to expand its range of Nord series mid-range smartphones in the coming days by launching the OnePlus Nord 6. Ahead of the launch, most of the key specifications and a retail box of the handset surfaced online recently. Now, Yogesh Brar, a reliable gadget tipster on X, has leaked the first live image of the OnePlus Nord 6, which gives us a glimpse at its rear design and camera placement.
Additionally, the source has leaked details regarding the camera sensors of the upcoming Nord offering. The tipster already tipped most of the Nord 6’s key features recently.
OnePlus Nord 6 will have a refreshed design with a square camera island
The source has posted a picture of the OnePlus 6 showing its design from the rear. The image shows the phone in two colorways: Silver and Mint. It has a square camera island at the top-left corner, housing three lenses and an LED flash unit. On the other hand, its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord 5, has a vertical pill-shaped camera module.
The tipster claims that the OnePlus Nord 6 will have a 50MP primary camera on the back with a Sony LYT 700 sensor. There will also be an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens accompanying the primary shooter. For selfies, the Nord 6 could offer a 32MP camera on the front with auto focus capabilities. In comparison, the Nord 5 has a more advanced 50MP Sony LYT 700 sensor and a 50MP selfie camera.
Leaked specifications of the OnePlus Nord 6
Earlier leaks have suggested that the OnePlus Nord 6 will come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display bearing 1.5K resolution and 165Hz screen refresh rate. OnePlus will power the smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series processor (most probably the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4).
The OnePlus Nord 6 could arrive in two RAM variants, including 8GB and 12GB. Both will be accompanied by 256GB of internal storage. Notably, the phone will have an enormous 9,000mAh battery, which will support 80W fast charging tech.
If we believe the reports, OnePlus is going to introduce the OnePlus Nord 6 in the first week of April. The same source recently suggested that the launch could happen on April 7th. We can expect the rumor mill to share more details about the phone soon, so stay tuned for regular updates.
