Infinix unveils the Note 60 series with JBL sound and vapor chamber cooling
The Infinix Note 60 and Note 60 Pro phones are official, as Infinix has announced the launch of both devices on February 18. There are also rumors of a Note 60 Ultra coming, but so far, Infinix has not officially announced an Ultra model. However, there are more than a few leaks of this version of Infinix’s latest flagship phone, so it seems entirely likely.
The Infinix Note 60 Pro is designed to deliver “flagship-level performance” with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 mobile platform inside. While it isn’t Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, it should be able to pump out some decent performance for everything from multitasking to mobile gaming. In fact, Infinix is confident the gaming chops on this device will impress users. So much so, that it added a 144Hz refresh rate display and a pretty sizeable vapor chamber cooling system to keep the phone at lower temperatures during heavy-load tasks.
When it comes to the Infinix Note 60, Infinix is using the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G mobile platform.
The Infinix Note 60 and Note 60 Pro will not launch in the US
If there are any downsides to Infinix’s two new Android phones, it’s that the Note 60 and Note 60 Pro won’t officially launch in the US. Like most phones that don’t release here, that doesn’t mean they won’t be available through other means. It might be possible to import them, or you might find the international models available on retail sites like Amazon or eBay.
However, they won’t officially be sold in the US through Infinix, so they might not work properly on US carriers. That being said, the Infinix Note 60 and Note 60 Pro are poised to be decent devices for people in regions where the phone will be available.
When it comes to colors, Infinix is offering a variety of options to consumers. The Infinix Note 60 comes in Mist Titanium, Rose Gold, Fizz Blue, Midnight Black, and Mocha Brown. Meanwhile, the Infinix Note 60 Pro comes in Mist Titanium, Solar Orange, Deep Ocean Blue, Mocha Brown, Frost Silver, and Torino Black (designed by Pininfarina). There will also be multiple variants for each device. The Note 60 comes with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The Note 60 Pro is the same, but adds a third option with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The Infinix Note 60 Pro comes with a 6,500mAh battery and supports 90W charging
Those concerned with battery life should be looking at the Infinix Note 60 Pro if they’re considering one of the two new phones. It has a massive 6,500mAh battery, and that’s likely going to carry you through more than a couple of days of use. Of course, that will depend on how you use it.
It also has support for 90W charging, however. Even if the phone battery does drain all the way to 0%, charging it back up will be a rather rapid process. Provided you use the 90W charger. And if you decide to go wireless, well, the phone supports 30W wireless charging. It’s not as fast as the wired option, but it’s pretty fast for wireless.
