Perplexity will not be a complete replacement for the Gemini and the revamped Bixby AI assistants. Instead, Samsung is betting on a multi-agent approach that offers users more flexibility, allowing them to choose which AI assistant they want to use for a particular task.

This approach allows the device understand the context of different apps, like your Gallery and Calendar, without you having to copy and paste information back and forth.

The “Hey Plex” feature does more than just answer trivia questions. This AI agent can help manage multi-step workflows thanks to its framework-level integration. Imagine researching a travel destination and having the AI ​​automatically create a note, set a reminder for a flight, and add the event to your calendar in one smooth motion.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup is the first to lead this charge. However, Samsung has hinted that Plex might not stay exclusive to the new flagships for long.
