Tablet multitasking needs to think beyond windows

No one is quite sure how multitasking should work on tablets. In the early days, whether you were using an Android or iOS device, there were inevitable comparisons to smartphones. Using multiple apps at the same time wasn't too common, and the lack of quality tablet apps meant it was sometimes easier to just use a phone. Having the ability to run apps in a split screen has helped, but it still doesn't feel like the best use of what are partially landscape devices.
