Google Photos for the web can now automatically back up files from your desktop

Your photos are precious memories (well, maybe not those screenshots you saved of funny memes), and the last thing you want is to lose them because your laptop takes an Olympic-level dive off the kitchen counter. You can back them up to the cloud, sure, but how often do you remember to do that? And how much storage do you have? Good news: Google is adding in a new feature that makes it easier to protect your pictures and back them up with next to no effort on your part.
