Microsoft is rolling out the new Bing AI chatbot enabled SwiftKey

It’s no surprise that ever since the success of ChatGPT, Microsoft has been hard at work trying to integrate it into various services and recoup its investments. In a similar effort, Microsoft recently announced that it is integrating its Bing AI chatbot into the SwiftKey keyboard app for Android and iOS devices. Now, the company is rolling out this new feature to all users, thus allowing them to chat with the chatbot directly from their mobile keyboard without having to switch between different apps.

One of the most interesting things about this integration is the introduction of new Chat, Tone, and Search functions that allow users to modify the chatbot to their needs. As the name suggests, the Tone feature offers four different tonal options for chats: Professional, Casual, Polite, and Social Post. Thus making it easier for users to choose the correct tones for different writing scenarios.

On the other hand, the Chat feature enables users to access the chatbot on the go, making it easier to search for more detailed queries. Meanwhile, the Search feature lets users surf the internet without switching to a different browser.

To get started, download the SwiftKey app from the App Store or Google Play Store. However, it is important to note that while anyone can use the Search feature, the Tone and Chat features will require users to sign in to their Microsoft account.

Microsoft’s attempt to revive its services

Microsoft’s decision to integrate Bing AI chatbot into SwiftKey might come as a surprise, considering the company’s previous plans to shut down the keyboard service on iOS last year. However, the company’s recent announcement of expanding the Bing chatbot access to Skype groups, which will allow users to settle debates, plan group trips, and find places to hang out, indicates that Microsoft is trying hard to revive its underperforming businesses while also attracting new users.
