Xbox Game Pass da oggi è anche cloud gaming su Android con 167 titoli giocabili!

Proprio in queste ore Microsoft ha annunciato tutte le novità di Xbox Game Pass relative al cloud gaming. Facciamo un passo indietro. Avrete probabilmente sentito parlare di Project xCloud, il servizio di cloud gaming di casa Xbox che permette, tra le altre cose, di godersi l’intero catalogo di giochi presenti nel Game Pass anche in streaming su Android.

Project xCloud era ovviamente un nome provvisorio. Microsoft sfrutterà l’ottima nome del suo Game Pass per sponsorizzare il servizio di cloud gaming. Quindi come funziona su Android? Semplice: si scarica l’app gratuita Xbox Game Pass, ci si abbona, si collega un controller e si gioca basandosi sulla propria connessione. Non solo, per alcuni titoli non è neanche necessario l’uso del controller! Prima però veniamo al prezzo.

Se non vi siete mai abbonati al Game Pass avrete la possibilità di provarlo per un mese a 1€. Successivamente vi verrà a costare 12,99€ al mese, e incluso nell’abbonamento avete l’accesso all’intera libreria dei giochi Game Pass su Console, PC e Android (oltre a Live Gold su Xbox). L’enorme vantaggio è che anche tutte le esclusive Microsoft sono disponibili sin dal giorno del lancio. Come se non bastasse entro la fine del 2020 tutti i titoli EA Play entreranno a far parte della grande famiglia Game Pass, il che significa che anche un gioco come FIFA 21 potrà probabilmente essere giocato da Android senza grosse difficoltà.

La libreria di giochi ammonta a ben 167 titoli, un catalogo che, a detta di Microsoft, sarà aggiornato regolarmente. Inoltre la società di Redmond ha anche annunciato che Minecraft Dungeons sarà disponibile in una versione completamente ottimizzata, con controlli touch nativi e una UI ridisegnata per una navigazione più semplice sugli schermi più piccoli, il tutto per fornire all’utente la possibilità di giocare anche senza controller. Se avete una buona connessione quindi potete giocare a Minecraft Dungeons ovunque vi troviate, senza necessità di accessori.

Dal 17 settembre arriveranno poi nuovi giochi in catalogo:

• Company of Heroes 2, disponibile il 17 settembre (Xbox Game Pass per PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
• Halo 3: ODST, disponibile il 22 settembre (Android, Xbox Game Pass per PC e Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
• Destiny 2: Shadowkeep & Forsaken, disponibile il 22 settembre (Android, Xbox Game Pass per Console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
• Night in the Woods, disponibile il 24 settembre (Android, Xbox Game Pass per Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC e Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
• Warhammer: Vermintide 2, disponibile il 24 settembre (Android, Xbox Game Pass per Console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

Quindi, quale app scaricare su Android per provare Game Pass? L’app vera e propria si deve ancora aggiornare (arriva oggi 15 settembre). Se siete impazienti potete installare la beta che, sul Play Store, è un’app a sé stante. Non c’è quindi bisogno di entrare nel circuito beta. La trovate qui.
